What is the form and functions of centrioles?

Answer 1

Centrioles are usually supranuclear tiny microtubular structures and their function is mainly spindle formation during cell division.

Centrioles are present in eukaryotic cells as supranuclear bodies made up of tubules. Paired centrioles are visible during interphase stage of the cell cycle and are seen as astral bodies with spindle fibres during cell division stages.

In sperm cell, centriole gives rise to tail flagella.
