Three parts of neuron are

Cell body: contains the nucleus, and most of the organelles.
Dendrites: highly branched extensions from the cell body that receive signals from other cells.
Axon: long extension from cell body that transmits signals to other cells.

Neurons come together to form nerves (elongates bundles of neurons), or to form ganglia (balls of neurons)--the brain is a large ganglia.
