The loss of habitats makes it different for many species of animals and plants to exist because many animals and plants can only thrive in a certain climate, area, or habitat, or require certain foods or conditions to exist. This is a large part of why many species go extinct.

Now why is biodiversity important to us humans? Simply put, loss of biodiversity can have serious implications on our environments, and humans rely on their environment a lot.
