DNA testing and profiling isn't perfect

First of all, DNA analysis is not perfect or foolproof. People have been misled into believing they are parents, imprisoned, or predisposed to a disease or condition they aren't. DNA can also be generated. If genuine DNA is discovered at a crime scene, that's fantastic! Until it's faked in a lab, in which case you have a problem.

(Here's another concern: privacy. In order for DNA to be matched, a sample needs to be compared to a database, and people are wary of DNA databases.) In the medical field, people are concerned that having their genetic code on file, and thus potential susceptibility to certain cancers or genetic diseases, could lead to them having to pay more for medications and insurance.
