What is the wavelength and frequency of light? Does light have a short or long wavelength compared with radio?

Answer 1

Light has shorter wavelength than radio.

Light is an electromagnetic wave. In it, the electric and magnetic field oscillate in phase forming a progressive wave.
The distance between two crests of the oscillating electric field will give you the wavelength while the number of complete oscillations of the electric field in one second will be the frequency.

The wavelength of light (order of hundred of nanometers) is shorter than radio wavelength (of the order of meters).

Answer 2

The wavelength of visible light ranges from approximately 400 to 700 nanometers (nm), with red light having the longest wavelength and violet light having the shortest wavelength. The frequency of light varies inversely with its wavelength and ranges from approximately 430 to 750 terahertz (THz). Light has a shorter wavelength compared to radio waves.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
