Somatic cells are any cells in the body other than reproductive cells; autosomes are found in pairs in somatic cells, with one autosome inherited from each parent; somatic cells contain the full complement of chromosomes characteristic of the species, including both autosomes and sex chromosomes. Autosomes are chromosomes that are not involved in determining an individual's sex.
