What can the principles of probability can be used for?

Answer 1

The principles of probability have a many uses. They are used in genetics, in statistics , in chemistry, and many other places.

Probability is used in classical genetics to determine the likelihood of a particular genetic cross result.

Because the results of the crosses agreed with the theory's predictions, the historical assumptions of classical genetics were predicated on probability.

The cross of the children predicts that 1/4 of the offspring will have blue eyes and 3/4 will have brown eyes, for example, if you have two hydrids with blue and brown eyes. Both parents will have brown eyes. In a small population, the outcome may not match the predictions; in a larger population, the outcome will be closer to predictions based on probability.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
