In what part of the chloroplast does the light-dependent reaction take place?

Answer 1

Light-dependent reaction of photosynthesis takes place in granum part of the chloroplast.

The organelle that houses chlorophyll to trap light for photosynthesis is called a chloroplast.

The two components of a chloroplast are the granum and the stroma. It is an organelle with two membranes.

Thylakoids are stacked one on top of the other to form granum. The membranes of the thyllakoids contain embedded chlorophyll molecules.

Hence, because the granum portion of the chloroplast contains chlorophyll molecules that trap light, photosynthesis is a light-dependent reaction.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
