How does the solar system affect earth?

Gravity

Although the main force of gravity that applies to the Earth is from the sun, technically every body in the solar system applies some gravity to the Earth. This results in a slight change to the Earth's motions, but since the Sun makes up so much of the mass of the solar system the other bodies effects are very small.
