How did evolution occur according to the theory of Neo-Darwinism?

Answer 1

According to the theory of Neo Darwinian, evolution resulted from blind random accidents.

According to Neo Darwinian, descent through modification occurred by mutations in the DNA that caused an increase in information and complexity. Neo Darwinian evolution is based on the philosophy of the French Enlightenment or material realism.

Therefore it is assumed that everything must happen by natural causes. The only known natural cause in the DNA is accidental mutations.

The laws of information and empirical observations do not support the conclusion that accidental changes can result in an increase in information. However as mutations are the only known causes of changes in the DNA and based on fossil evidence it is assumed that mutations have caused the changes in the DNA that resulted in the formation of Human DNA.

The question of how DNA came into existence in the first place, is not answered by Neo Darwinian evolution, as mutation can only occur in existing DNA, and natural selection can not operate until DNA variation exists to be selected.

The reason that humans exist is believed to be result of accidental changes, called mutations. This theory is based on a philosophical world view of material realism.

Answer 2

Neo-Darwinism combines Darwin's natural selection with the understanding of genetics, proposing that genetic mutations drive variation, and natural selection acts on these variations to drive evolution.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
