What is the smallest unit of DNA?
Smallest unit of DNA is nucleotide . DNA is the most important molecule of living organisms and universally same in structure.
A nucleotide of DNA has three components:
1. 5 carbon deoxyribose sugar
2. Nirogenous base
3. Phophate
Nitrogenous base is attached to 1' end of sugar while phosphate is attached to 5' end. 3' end of the sugar can attach to next nucleotide.
