Population increase in the United States as mostly possible thanks to immigration, even before the creation of the United States. Religious persecutions were part of the main factors that contributed to the migration, indeed some states like Maryland(for Catholics), Pennsylvania(by Quakers) or even Georgia(by Methodists) were created on the base of religious tolerance.
