Answer 2

Water pollution is a serious problem because it adversely affects the environment, human health, and aquatic life. Contaminants such as chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides, and pathogens can enter water bodies, leading to the degradation of ecosystems, disruption of aquatic habitats, and the loss of biodiversity. Additionally, polluted water can pose significant health risks to humans through the consumption of contaminated water or aquatic organisms, leading to waterborne diseases and other health issues. Furthermore, water pollution can have economic consequences, including the loss of fisheries, tourism revenue, and the cost of water treatment and remediation efforts.
