It was the earliest and biggest empire,to be established by an Indian dynasty .It was ruled by the Mauryan dynasty from 321 to 185 B.C.E. It began in 250 B.C.E.

The Empire was founded in 322 BC by Chandragupta Maurya(fully occupied the northwester India by 320 B.C.E.).
