How can I find the limiting reactant?
You will need to determine the balanced equation for the chemical reaction and calculate the number of moles for the reactants.

To find the limiting reactant, you compare the amounts of each reactant available to the stoichiometry of the balanced chemical equation. Calculate the number of moles of each reactant and then use the stoichiometric coefficients from the balanced equation to determine which reactant will be completely consumed first. The reactant that produces the smallest amount of product is the limiting reactant.
