What types of biomes are there?
Biomes are major communities of the world distinguished on the basis of predominant type of vegetation. There are many: but generally five of them would include all ecosystems.
Five types of biomes are: Desert, Forest, Grassland, Tundra and Aquatic. This is not all: today ecologists identify several forest biomes, e.g. Tropical rainforest, Tropical desiduous forest, Montane forest, Temperate evergreen forest, Temperate deciduous forest, Boreal forest, etc.
It could then be safely said that biomes are also distinguished on the basis of climate as precipitation and temperature affect plant types. So ecologists often list terrestrial biomes under three headings: Tropical biomes, Temperate biomes and Polar biomes.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
