What is Wallace's Line?
Please see below.
An imaginary line known as Wallace's Line separates Australia from the Asian mainland and islands.
The point where the species on either side of the line differ is indicated by this boundary.
All of the species to the west of the line are related to one another or descended from species that can be found on the Asian continent.
Many species with Australian ancestry can be found east of the line.
There is a blend of the two along the line.
