Supernova remnants (SNRs) can be initially even hotter (due to the EXPLOSION of a star!), in the millions of degrees kelvin. Nebulae are collections of gas and/or dust in space. Some nebula with star forming regions in them can become very hot (10,000 k), but the nebula will be very cold without the stars.
