What is the purpose of the other planets in our solar system? If they were not present, how would that affect earth?

The planet that I believe is most significant to Earth is Jupiter. Its immense gravity pulls asteroids toward it, and in 1994, an enormous impact occurred on Jupiter when an asteroid collided with it. Jupiter diverts asteroids and comets, obstructing their path to the Sun.

The planets that are visible to the naked eye are those that aid in the creation of a sky map, whereas the planets that are barely visible, such as Neptune and Uranus, are of less significance. Without the other planets, Earth would be in the path of asteroids and the likelihood of Earth being struck by asteroids would rise.

The other planets in our solar system are important for both gravitational stability and orbital shaping; without them, Earth's climate and stability would probably be affected by unpredictable orbital variations.
