A galaxy is held together by the gravity. We are very familiar to our home Galaxy, The Milky way. The whole term stars from the universe,in the vast Universe many spiraling galaxies are present, In the galaxies there are solar systems, in a solar system many planets are present and our Earth is one of the planet from all the 8 planets revolving around the Sun. It is like dot in a paper as compared to the whole Universe.

The Sun is among one of the billion stars present in the galaxy, there are thousands of stars present in the galaxies. There are massive black holes in the middle of the galaxies as the gravity from the black hole helps the galaxies to hold together.
