What is cell biology?
The study of cells of course...
Cell biology is the study of cells, the smallest units of life. All living things are made up of cells, which come in a variety of sizes and shapes and each one is specialized to perform a specific function. For example, red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body, white blood cells regulate and control the immune system, and nerve cells (neurons) coordinate the nervous system. This is my favorite area of biology because it is so fascinating.
It is imperative that you acquire knowledge about plant cells as well as unicellular organisms like bacteria and other prokaryotes.
I hope this is useful.
