What hormones are involved in the male and female reproductive system?

Answer 1

Both male and female reproductive systems are under the control of gonadotropic hormones secreted from anterior pituitary. Gonads of both sexes secrete also secrete hormones.

FSH and ICSH are the two gonadotropic hormones for men.

Interstitial cell stimulating hormone, or ICSH, causes the testes' interstitial cells to release testosterone.

FSH, or folicle stimulating hormone, aids in the seminiferous tubules' ability to produce male germ cells.

FSH and LH are the two gonadotropic hormones that affect women.

Follicle stimulating hormone, or FSH, is a hormone that improves the secretory tissues surrounding ovarian follicles, which in turn releases more oestrogen hormone. It stimulates the growth of ovarian follicles, which contain maturing eggs.

Luteinizing hormone (LH): When blood oestrogen levels reach a threshold, LH is released, which causes an ovarian follicle to burst and causes ovulation. The progesterone hormone released by the ruptured ovarian follicle is endocrine in nature.

The female reproductive system is regulated by hormones in a cycle.
