What are the monomers of DNA and RNA?

Answer 1

Nucleotides...

Nucleotides are monomers of both #"DNA"# and #"RNA"#. However, nucleotides themselves are made up of many other molecules. A nucleotide is made up of a #5#-carbon sugar, a nitrogenous base (adenine, guanine, cytosine, thymine, or uracil), and a phosphate group #(PO_4^(3-))#. Note that uracil will only be found in #"RNA"#.
Many nucleotides join together to form #"DNA"# and #"RNA"#.

Answer 2

The monomers of DNA are nucleotides, composed of a phosphate group, a deoxyribose sugar molecule, and one of four nitrogenous bases: adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), or guanine (G). The monomers of RNA are also nucleotides, but they contain ribose sugar instead of deoxyribose and uracil (U) instead of thymine (T).

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
