I suspect the only way is to hide of course...
If you were an animal living in a place where there are a lot of predators, you wouldn't want to be eaten! That's why using camouflage to blend in with the surroundings would make it harder for the predators to find you and less likely that you would be snagged and eaten.
Other than that, I can't think of any additional applications for camouflage.
