Osteomyelitis is the inflammation of bone and bone marrow. It is an infectious disease.

Inflammation of joint is called arthritis. When the inflammation occurs due to infectious agents (like virus, bacteria, fungus) they are termed septic arthritis.

Pott's disease is the Tuberculosis (TB) of vertebrae (spine). The Mycobacterium (agent of TB) spreads through blood to reach the spine and causes this serious and deforming disease. The primary site, from where the agent spreads is usually the lungs (pulmonary TB).
