Multiple Sclerosis – A CNS disease in which the myelin sheaths (insulating covers of nerve cells, see picture below) in the brain and spinal cord are damaged and demyelinated.

Parkinson's Disease – A CNS disorder that results from the death of cells that make dopamine

Alzheimer's Disease – A CNS disease in which there is degeneration and destruction of brain cells and their connections, leading to memory loss, confusion, and the loss of thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out basic tasks.
