What are B-cells and T-cells?
B-cells and T-cells both are special type of white blood cells called Lymphocytes.
These two cells carry out fundamental immune system functions.
B-lymphocytes:
After recognizing an antigen, B-lymphocytes clone plasma cells, which release antibodies into tissue fluid and blood plasma.
The bacteria's surface is coated with antibodies that hasten phagocytosis.
The humoral immune response occurs when microorganisms produce toxins, which are neutralized by the antitoxin produced by the antibodies.
T-Cells:
T lymphocytes identify antigens and engage in combat with them. An antigen can be any foreign substance, such as a microbe or, in the case of a tissue transplant, foreign tissue.
Cell-mediated response occurs when T-lymphocytes destroy antigen directly without generating antibodies.
I hope it's useful.
