What animal classification is a bird?

Answer 1

The animal kingdom can be further divided into 5 sub-categories: MR. FAB:

Mammals
Reptiles
Fish
Amphibians
Birds

They fall into a classification category of their own!

Like birds, mammals also have warm blood, but unlike birds, mammals drink their mothers' milk when they are young and hatch from eggs.

Since they have warm blood while reptiles and amphibians have cold blood, they cannot be classified as either kind of animal.

Since they lack scales and gills and are unable to swim, they are not considered fish.
