Jennifer came to class wearing her latest purchase and soon everyone was familiar with the scent. Her latest purchase seems to be a perfume. The molecules of perfume is in higher density on her body (as she wears it) and in the surrounding air it is of lower density.

Diffusion is the process in which molecules flow from high density area to low density area. Here molecules of the perfume flow from her body or dress to the surrounding air (and reach everybody else's nose, thus they become familiar with the scent).
