Is there a difference between granulocytes, lymphocytes, and monocytes in terms of function?

Answer 1

Yes, granulocyte i.e neutrophils, eosinophils and basophils differ from agranulocytes i.e monocytes and lymhphocytes in terms of function.

Monocytes and neutrophils #to# kill the invader microbes by damaging or digesting them by phagocytosis.

Heparin inhibits blood clotting, while histamine plays a role in allergic reactions, tissue damage, and microbial invasion. Basophils produce both of these substances.

Lymphocytes #to# provide immunity against disease.
Eosinophils #to# Inactivate inflammation producing subsances and attack parasites.

I hope it's useful.

Yes, there is a difference in function among granulocytes, lymphocytes, and monocytes. Granulocytes are involved in phagocytosis and release of enzymes, lymphocytes play a key role in immune responses, and monocytes primarily function as phagocytes and antigen-presenting cells.
