Is nuclear fission renewable or non renewable? Is nuclear fusion renewable or non renewable?

Answer 1

NON-renewable! In both cases.

Despite being "cleaner" in terms of air pollution, the fuel still comes from a limited supply of raw materials.

Fusion has a cleaner process (less radioactive wastes) and a higher power output than fission, but even so, it requires finite resources.

However, as with solar, wind, hydrodynamic, and geothermal sources, neither of them is a "renewable" source because we still require the original materials in both situations.

Answer 2

Nuclear fission is non-renewable. Nuclear fusion is considered potentially renewable, as it relies on the fusion of lightweight atomic nuclei, typically isotopes of hydrogen, which are abundant in nature.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
