How to find median and a mode of arranged and non-arranged data respectively?

Answer 1

First it is important to arrange the data. Then look for the middle of the data for the median, and the most common number the mode.

The median is the middle number of a set of data. It is necessary to first arrange the data from smallest to largest or largest to smallest. Count from both directions to find the middle. If there are an even number of data entries there will be two middle numbers find the average of the two middle numbers. If there is an odd number of data entries the middle number will be the same from both directions, that is the medium

The mode is the most popular of the data entries. When the data is arranged the duplicate number of entries can be easily seen. The number with the largest number of entries is the mode. It is possible to have more than one mode.
