How is wind produced?
It is produced by a pressure gradient.
The simple and shortest answer is there is a difference in air pressures from one location to the next. This gradient will create a force (pressure gradient force) that will cause air to move from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure.
Air pressure is changed by temperature and by water vapor content of the air.
There are additional forces that act upon the wind once it is produced, to vary the direction, but the wind is produced by pressure gradient force.

Wind is primarily produced by the uneven heating of the Earth's surface by the sun, leading to variations in air temperature and pressure. This creates differences in air density and pressure, resulting in the movement of air from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure, which we perceive as wind. Other factors such as the rotation of the Earth, the presence of landforms, and the distribution of oceans also influence wind patterns.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
