How is NMR spectroscopy read?
Certain protons in certain electronic environments resonate at certain frequencies against a "blank" compound in a strong magnetic field.
By that I mean there will certain peaks along the x-axis of the graph, such that it represents (1) how many proton/carbon types there are, (2) and a rough idea of what their electronic environment is.
It's very useful for identifying compounds while researching, or separating good batches of drugs from bad (pictured below is heparin batches, one is good, one is bad),
