How is a capacitor charged?
Electrons are driven off of one of a capacitor's plates and onto the opposite plate through the power supply when a capacitor is connected between the terminals of a power supply (or cell).
Electrons are simultaneously forced onto the negative plate by the power supply (accumulation of negative charges hence it gains overall negative charge) and off the positive plate (deficit of negative charge and gain of overall positive charge) as a result of the power supply's action, which induces a current to flow.

A capacitor is charged by connecting it to a voltage source. Electrons flow from the negative terminal of the source to one plate of the capacitor, while an equal number of electrons are drawn from the other plate to the positive terminal. This creates an electric field between the plates, causing the capacitor to charge.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
