How does the Coriolis effect influence global winds?
It deflects them.
Not just global winds, but all winds are influenced by the Coriolis effect.
Air travels from high-pressure zones to low-pressure zones; this can occur locally, as in the case of a low-pressure center, or globally, as in the case of the Equator's higher air pressure than the poles.
The air moves due to pressure differences, regardless of the scale; however, this movement occurs simultaneously with Earth's rotation.
I'll copy and paste a portion of my response from another question because it provides a clear explanation of how Coriolis works.
Put a marker in the center of a paper plate, then pull the marker to the edge of the plate directly in front of you. This will result in a straight line, showing the Coriolis effect. Now repeat the process, but have a friend turn the plate while you pull the marker toward you. The spot you were originally aiming for has moved as you pull the marker directly toward you. Once you reach the edge, you will have a curved line, even though you moved the marker in a straight line.
The Coriolis effect causes the winds to bend counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere.
If not, kindly let me know. I hope this is the response you were looking for.

The Coriolis effect deflects global winds to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere due to Earth's rotation, influencing wind patterns across the globe.

The Coriolis effect influences global winds by causing them to deflect to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. This deflection is a result of the Earth's rotation, and it affects the direction of movement of large-scale wind patterns such as the trade winds, westerlies, and polar easterlies.

When evaluating a one-sided limit, you need to be careful when a quantity is approaching zero since its sign is different depending on which way it is approaching zero from. Let us look at some examples.
