The term "global warming" refers to the general warming trend that is currently affecting the climate. The effects of global warming on plants vary depending on the type of plant and where it is found. Some plants will suffer as a result of the expansion of certain deserts, while others will benefit from increased rainfall in certain areas and a longer growing season over a large portion of the planet.

Additionally, since plants need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis, the increase in the greenhouse effect brought on by human activity is advantageous to them.

It should be highlighted that while some things may be good for plants, the reality is that deforestation drastically lowers the amount of plants that can gain from these changes.
