remember the formula for slope intercept form is #y=mx+b# with #mx# being the slope and #b# being the y-int so for this, you have to get #y# by itself. first take care of #4x# b/c that will give you slope. so subtract #4x# from both sides. now you have #-4x+36=9y# and now divide #9# from both sides to leave only #y# and now you divide #9# from everything on both sides. it just leaves #y# on one side but you have to do #4/9# and #36/9# on the other side. and you have your answer
