A number line have infinite number on each side. It can be helpful in addition and subtraction mainly involving negative numbers. But you can also do multiplication and division on the number line.

For this,

we will first go three steps from the origin #0# to #3#

Then we come back two steps towards the origin #0# from #3#. Getting us to #1#. Your answer!
