How do you solve #4/9 = x/45#?

Another way to solve the ratio question is to get a common denominator. However this is not always the easiest method and I prefer the method shown in the first solution.

4/9 = x/45 (5/5) (4/9) = 20/45 SO: 20/45 = x/45 x = 20
