How do you lower high levels of CO2 in your blood?

Answer 1

First, how can we raise the levels of CO2 in our bodies? Generally speaking, during physical activity, cells release CO2 as a byproduct. As a result, CO2 enters the bloodstream through diffusion, where it is taken up by erythrocytes and carried until alveoli, where erythrocyte oxidation is completed.

When blood CO2 levels are too high, we should breathe more often, but because of partial pressure, we should breathe less deeply. When we breathe in, some oxygen will diffuse from our alveoli into the blood, but more CO2 will diffuse from the blood into our lungs and eventually be exhaled.
