How did the Vietnam Conflict end for America?
It ended in withdrawal in 1973.
The United States under Nixon and Kissinger negotiated a peace treaty with the North at Paris. This led to the last of the US presence in South Vietnam leaving in 1973. The objective ostensibly was to leave the South Vietnamese government strong enough to prevent a communist victory. However in 1975 the communists entered Saigon and renamed it Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam was re-united under a communist government.
