More than half the values have to be equal and are the highest values.

Only when more than half of the values are identical and the highest values possible can this occur.

As an illustration:

#1, 2, 3, 4, color(red)(8), 8, 8, 8, 8#
There are nine values, but five of them are the same. The median is the #color(red)8# shown.

The upper half must all be the same, but the size of the lower values is completely irrelevant.

#0, 1, 2, 3, 3, 5, 5, color(red)(48, 48), 48, 48, 48, 48, 48, 48, 48#
Median = #(48+48)/2 = 48#
