Although solar energy is currently less efficient than thermal power plants (which have an efficiency of roughly 30–40%), it may still be able to address issues with energy transmission. If you have an energy consumer, build your solar power plant as close to that consumer as possible. Of course, we should be aware that we shouldn't disturb the natural environment (forests, ecologically sensitive areas, etc.), but at least during construction, people will be employed, and that employment is preferable to that of coal-fired power plants, for example, because it carries fewer risks, produces less dust, produces less noise, etc.
The cost will be lower (per unit power) if more solar energy units are installed. Following installation, laborers will be needed for upkeep and care-security.
The most crucial aspect is that it won't produce any harmful gases, dust, noise, or other pollutants while it's operating. It's a well-known fact, though, that emissions from nonrenewable energy plants, which produce thermal pollution, cause illnesses in humans.
