How can natural gas be transported?

Answer 1

Mostly by pipelines or liquefied and put into ocean going LNG tanker ships

Pipelines are the main way natural gas is shipped within a large continental region like North America or Europe/Asia. Natural gas that is shipped across oceans is first liquified, under great pressure, and then pumped into a tanker and moved to another continent (see pic)!

Smaller amounts of natural gas are sometimes transported on land by trucks and train cars.
