Can someone describe some cause and effects of the Greenhouse Effect?

Answer 1

Certain gases in earths atmosphere allows radiation from Sun to enter but does not allow the reflected infra red radiation to get out.

This causes heat to be trapped in earth's atmosphere and we get Global warming.
Gases Carbon di oxide
Methane .water vapor.
Burning of fossil fuels produce carbon di oxide
paddy cultivation and animals produce methane
humidity increases water vapor..

The increasing temperature causes melting of polar ice caps. This will make sea level to rise and submerge many islands.
Climate change will affect environment and effect agriculture and other life forms.

Answer 2

The greenhouse effect is caused primarily by human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. These activities release greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat from the sun, leading to global warming and climate change. The effects of the greenhouse effect include rising temperatures, melting polar ice caps, sea level rise, extreme weather events, disruption of ecosystems, and impacts on agriculture and food security.
