I don't think so.

In addition, I would add that in order for fuel cells to be feasible for household appliances, there would need to be 1) a consistent source of hydrogen fuel, which there currently isn't other than in some places for car refueling, and 2) a decrease in the cost of hydrogen fuel cells, as they are currently quite expensive. I have heard of some applications for hydrogen fuel cells in heating because they can occasionally use the same system as natural gas.

In my opinion, biofuel has a far greater chance of being practical for use in automobiles and home appliances since it is probably easier to produce, more affordable, and more effective.
