What is the difference between ecology and environmental science?

Answer 1

Ecology is defined as the study of interaction between the botic and abiotic components of environment the interaction can be between the organism and between the physical environment and organism
The term ecology is being derived from the greek word (eco- house and logos- study)
Environmental sciences - it is defined as the study of abiotic (light , temperature and humidity , compounds i.e,( organic and inorganic), biotic factor( animals , plants and micro-organism surrounding or existing in the environment.
According to research based on NASA the environment is incomplete without any of its components.
The major difference lies in the fact that environmental sciences has multidisciplinary arena and ecology focuses just on study of a niche.
